The Dimagra weightloss diet is part of our medical wellness programme, which can be used in combination with our medicated weight loss injections and body contouring treatments by Cutera. Helping you lose weight by controlling appetite, curbing hunger and reducing cravings.
Dimagra is a ketogenic plan that induces ketosis to achieve weight loss.
The daily ration of Dimagra 21 day weight loss diet (Intensive Steps) consists of an intake of a specific amount of protein, almost complete elimination of carbohydrates (about 21 g daily) and a reduced intake of lipids.
With this kind of diet, the body rapidly depletes its available glucose, reducing glycaemia: the immediate consequence is a decreased secretion of insulin. Your body then uses liver glycogen which is converted into glucose. When these reserves are exhausted (approximately after hours) the steady intake of high biological value proteins leads to the activation of the Liver Gluconeogenesis: glucose production from non – carbohydrate precursors (e.g. amino acids and lipolysis). Thus ketogenesis is activated.
Ketosis is a metabolic state wherein the liver burns body fat to provide fuel for the body when there is limited access to glucose. The plan itself consists of a high protein, low calorie diet with protein shakes and vitamin and mineral supplements.

Dimagra is different due to the fact it is a medically balanced diet. It comes with supplements which are added to water each day to kick start your metabolism and ensure your body is receiving all the important vitamins and minerals. Thames Skin Clinic’s weight loss program starts when you complete an online assessment form. You will then visit the clinic for an initial consultation where the team will take measurements and analyse your body composition using specialist scales.
If suitable and after we have consented you to join the program you will then start the ketogenic diet, exercise regime and may start using weight management mini injection medication if prescribed.
The full weight management program requires you to attend for weight and measure as per the guidelines in your consent and information document in addition to being available for a weekly telephone consultation during the weeks you do not attend clinic.
